Kim Harrison is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and is full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Kim has extensive experience in first responder organisations, having been involved in many facets of psychological work including one to one counselling, critical incident response, management consultation/ coaching and crisis interventions. She is currently undertaking further studies in Clinical Psychology and has been working in private practice where she has worked primarily with women who have are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma reactions and challenging family situations. This work has included managing psychological distress around fertility issues, post-natal depression or anxiety and relationship challenges. Through this work she has realised that supporting women in these situations is both rewarding and well aligned with her strengths-based approach to therapy. She is passionate about working with individuals to achieve their treatment goals, working collaboratively with the client to achieve this. She is also committed to ongoing professional development; valuing and prioritising professional development, peer consultation and individual supervision. She has completed perinatal mental health specific training from the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) and the University of Sydney.
