Sarah van Ree is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She has worked predominantly in private practise and school settings providing counselling and interventions for students and families for issues including, but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, domestic violence, psychosis, personality disorders, low self-esteem and social skills. Her placement at the Developmental Disability Clinic of Monash Medical Centre saw her support families adjusting to the diagnosis of disability in their child and included parent-child therapy. Sarah has since worked with families across the lifespan: primary school-aged children at the Department of Education and high school at Catholic Care. Sarah has contributed to published research in the field of Educational and Developmental Psychology.
Sarah commenced at Mums Matter Psychology in 2016 and is honoured to provide a safe, warm and non-judgemental space in which to support families adjusting to challenges arising during the perinatal period. Sarah tailors her response to the individual needs of the client and endeavours for sessions to be supportive, practical and relevant.
Sarah has also completed the University of Sydney continuing development program: Perinatal Mental Health and undertaken perinatal specific training with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE). In 2021, Sarah completed the ‘Perinatal loss in practise: What therapists need to know’ training by COPE and is registered with the Perinatal Loss Centre. After receiving a scholarship in 2023, Sarah is an accredited Possums Neuroprotective Developmental Care practitioner.
