Taylar Ashlin
Clinical Psychologist: Telehealth
Taylar is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who has been practicing for 20 years. Originally qualifying in Australia, she then went onto work at the famous Portland Hospital in London for Women and Children. She also worked as an expert witness in family law for a decade focusing on the importance of attachment, assessing parenting capacity and the bond between children and their primary caregiver. Taylar is passionate about the impact of fertility issues on women having gone through fertility challenges and In vitro Fertilisation (IVF) herself. Her aim is to provide psychological support to: women in their goal to become a mother, children, and families.
Taylar is a member of Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority (AHPRA -endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist) and the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She has completed training with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE). She uses a solution-focused approach. Her therapeutic framework draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Attachment Theory.
