Rebecca McStay is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). For the past decade Rebecca has worked across public health and private practice, while also experiencing her own journey to motherhood in recent years.
Rebecca has experience working with individuals and families with complex mental health needs including trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, grief and loss, body image and eating concerns, and parent-child relationship difficulties. She has also worked closely with children on the Autism Spectrum and their families in a therapeutic and research capacity.
Rebecca is passionate about supporting individuals along all stages of their journey to parenthood. She understands the enormity of this transition and provides a wholistic approach to parental health, building on individual strengths, in a client-centred manner. She holds specific interest in perinatal anxiety and supporting emotional health with ACT, DBT, schema and parts work.
Rebecca has completed perinatal specific training with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) and Seleni Institute.
