Ebonnie is passionate about providing mental health treatment that empowers people to enjoy a life that aligns with their values and aspirations. Trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming frameworks guide her psychological treatment. Ebonnie’s collaborative approach to therapy is evidence-based and holistic, incorporating aspects of cognitive-behavioural, metacognitive, schema, and acceptance and commitment therapies and other modalities. Ebonnie also emphasises mindfulness and a practical individually tailored problem-solving focus to guide her clients to help them create and maintain the change they seek in their lives.
Ebonnie has experience across clinical settings including inpatient and outpatient women’s health, child and adolescent trauma, and private practice. She also has experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate psychology, and is currently completing her PhD in Clinical Psychology. She has assisted children and adults across a range of problems including birth trauma, adjustment to parenthood, depression, anxiety, worry/rumination, social skills and anger, OCD, and body dysmorphic disorder. She has a particular interest in working with individuals who are experiencing psychological distress during the perinatal/postnatal period and people who are (or suspect they may be) neurodivergent.
Ebonnie has completed perinatal specific training with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE).
