Michaela is a registered psychologist with 15 years of experience treating moderate to complex psychological disorders in adults across private mental health facilities, community mental health services, forensic settings, higher education settings, and private practice. She has extensive experience delivering both individual and group evidence-based treatment interventions in cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), schema therapy, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapies (TF-CBT).
Her approach is warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental. She provides tailored interventions that meet clients where they are, fostering a safe and supportive environment. Michaela recognises the challenges that may arise during the perinatal period, including fertility difficulties, complications during pregnancy and birthing, and adjusting to parenting. She helps clients cultivate self-compassion, build trust in themselves as parents, and be responsive to their child’s needs and their own.
