Get Started

Veronica brings over a decade of experience in the mental health field, having served in various government roles, including six years with WA Health in both community and inpatient mental health settings. Her work has spanned high-intensity environments, such as the Mental Health Observation Unit (MHOA) in emergency departments, where she was part of the Self Harm and Crisis Counselling Service (SHACCS) team at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Since 2020, she has focused on specialized counseling roles, spending three years providing psychotherapy in a men’s health service before transitioning to a women’s service.

Before her career in mental health, Veronica worked for 15 years in Work Health and Safety, helping injured workers navigate the insurance system and supporting their return to work. This background gives her a compassionate and practical understanding of the challenges individuals and families face when navigating health systems.

Veronica holds a Bachelor of Social Work (B. SocWK), as well as foundational studies in Sociology and Psychology. These have equipped her with a systemic perspective on mental health, appreciating the influence of community, culture, and social systems on individual wellbeing.

She is particularly skilled in working with complex trauma (cPTSD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, adjustment to major life events, and grief/loss. Veronica specializes in supporting individuals, couples, and families where trauma has affected one or more members. Her therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), all tailored to foster resilience and healing for individuals and families alike.

Veronica is completing perinatal specific training with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE).
